Why iso higher ?. 1.5 crop 10mm lens fuji 15 mm FF sony and iso 1000 fuji 1500 iso in sony ?
Very good video especially taking into account different ISO standards.
I use SONY A7riii with samyang 135mm 1.8, I am thinking about jumping to Fuji xh2s, only because we now have viltrox 75mm 1.2 so I could offset poor low light with wider aperture.
Excellent detailed comparison. Thank you.
Fantastic video! Appreciate the in-depth and objective comparison.
The top screen is very useful..
In more ways than one..
The screen notifies you if you have your sd card in camera withoit having to turn it on. At a glance from far.
Helps you see battery life and remaining storage space without turning camera on
Helps obviosly with all the exposure aswell during shooting
The biggest problemfor Sony is that they don't do any update ...
Great video 👍🏻
Bratislava forever in my heart
which is better for weddings and real estate
Heh. If you need light weight take a Fuji lenses and cameras. Fuji photos worse than Sony. Video from Fuji very good in good conditions. But if less light .. so. There is no perfect camera
🤔What do you think about APSC moded A7iv + lens Sigma 18-50 2.8 vs Fuji XH2s. As FF lens is too huge for my daily usage & videos. Price of bodies is almost the same, but I can turn FF on sony any time and use it for photography or low light with other lens. So the question is apsc moded a7iv video quality comparable to XH2s, what do you think about it?
Hi There, I'm interested in the X-H2S. My goal is to upgrade from my older Nikon D3400 for photos. I'm looking for a hybrid camera to also easily record outdoor Sports games in 4k. I need something that can Record 4K to SD card and still output HDMI 4k to a field monitor. My Sony FDR-AX53 can record 4k to SD card but cannot output 4k HDMI at the same time. Is this also easy to auto focus during a game as I utilize a Cayer Tripod that works great. Thanks in advance @TheHybridShooter.
excellent work very honest and trustworthy...
Man it is so frustrating not to stay with a decission which camera to get next. I currently have a fuji XT20 with a 16-80 lens. For traveling purposes and shooting my kids sports games outdoor I would really like to have a weather resistant fast AF camera. I really love the tactile feeling of fuji dials but I am willing to let them go for fuji XH2s or sony body. Can't decide between Fuji XT5/XH2s or Sony A7 iii or iv . For now I only shoot stills, mainly landscape and sports (rugby, indoor basketball). Would like to get into portrets as well. Video I don't shoot at the moment...maybe in the future.
Good review. I am the owner of a Sony A7 IV, and I would have been a bit more critical about my camera because the autofocus isn't always perfect, but it's good enough most of the time. I feel like this video is a good explanation of why the Sony A1 is an overpriced camera. The autofocus advantages are mostly about the software and lenses, but you can't get the advantages of a stacked sensor with software. It's so sad that camera manufacturers don't allow you to write your own autofocusing algorithms. Also, the inability to write raw video footage is a software limitation. It could be incredible if one of the big camera manufacturers provided a camera as a platform for software developers because there is so much stuff that we could implement: encryption, real-time synchronization with photo editing software, autofocusing algorithms, new automatic white balance selection algorithms, wireless streaming on YouTube and other platforms, golden hour notification, automatic DOF calculations, etc.
Selling my Sony a7sii to buy a fuji XH2s
it's very interesting to see the color differences are shifting between the two.
Sometimes sony is more magenta in the skies, while fuji is green
Other times the fuji is heavy on the magenta and sony is greener
In most cases they look extremely similar in terms of color and it's pretty hard to find differences
I'd just like to point out a couple things:
1. Lightroom is absolutely horrible for processing Fuji RAW files. The results are very different in Capture One.
2. You can shoot a full stop wider aperture on the Fuji crop sensor and get roughly the same depth of field as the full frame Sony camera. This allows you to get similar high ISO performance for any shots where you would normally stop down a bit on full frame.
Very well done 👏👏👏 Thanks for the work you put in on this video! My first camera was a Fujifilm crop sensor and I always felt like low light performance was not good. I’ve already invested into Fuji, but maybe I would have bought Sony with this knowledge.
