Thank you for the excellent videos and details. Very much appreciated. I just got the x-S20 and can't get it to update the firmware from my Pixel 7 pro. I tried the old Fuji app and the new one. Same issue on both, ambiguous msg. Searching around led me to your videos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone and many thanks @pal2tech for all your wonderfull videos!
I was hoping for a minor change with this update, and still nothing… maybe some of you guys can help me out?
Does anyone knows why when you shoot video with an xt-4/5 or in my case x-h2s (video in 4k, 24fps, 10bit, prores hq) the videos file information itself shows a bt.709 color management instead of a bt2020? It drives me mad… i have no idea how to interpret it in my hdr comp…

The latest update did not solve the AF problem with wide angle and small apertures. Nice stuff for a 2700 euro camera. Too bad I hadn't known this before, I would never have gone through this system.

I hate de last update!

My xt4 has several bugs, freezing, lost my settings. And what annoys me the most is the fact that when you touch the screen to focus, no more buttons work until the photo is taken.

I'm always worried about breaking the camera port of the Micro HDMI connector. I guess you're saying it's the cords that break, which I could live with. Ironically the camera that has a flip out screen (XH2) also has a full size HDMI port so I don't need the external monitor with it. Typical... 🙂🙂

Hello! Recently (I don’t know if it’s related to firmware updates) my xh2s has several issues. While using it, the camera kinda freeze and stops to respond and while remains turned on, if you push bottons or do whatever it doesn’t do anything. I have to remove battery to turn it off and re-insert to make the camera works again untill the following “freeze”. It does happened to you?

Updates generally haven't helped .For a camera like the Fuji XT5 the autofocus and false positives is very disapointing!!!!! Fujifilm needs to fix this problem asap or it will loose many users. You certainly wouldn't trust it for work.

Off topic comment, but this has been bugging me a while,and you are the expert on Fuji cameras. I am finding my xt5 too noisy. Even at iso 800, I find the pictures have lot of grain and not the nice kind. Only reason I can think of is that I shoot a bit underexposed. But not sure why that would happen. Any help will be appreciated.😊

I know the X-T5 is designed to be photography focused, but do you have any tips or suggestions regarding video resolution 6.3K (best resolution, 30fps limit) vs 4K HQ (oversampled, 30fps limit) vs 4K (regular, 60fps limit)? We seem to be deciding between 6.3k 30fps and 4K 60fps, as 30fps is good enough and oversampling seems like the wrong choice. In our stress test our X-T5 was able to go for ~8hrs consistently recording 6.3k at the highest bitrate without overheating or shutting off. Any thoughts? PS: Glad we caught your live stream a few days ago, that medium format looks like a great new camera.

I have discovered a Back button focus feature that I have not heard about and it is huge! I assigned the upper right hand button on my XT-5 to "AF-On" in the button select and the AF+MF selection under the AF/MF section of the drop down to ON. Now, when I set the focus switch on the front of the camera to M (manual), I am able to focus by pressing the Upper RH button and releasing it. This sets the focus point. I can now move the camera anywhere and the focus point holds. It also will not re-focus when you half press the release. I find this very, very helpful. Of course, switching the front focus switch back to S or C will set the camera back to those modes. I have been enjoying your program for several years now and have learned a great deal, keep them coming!

...and with the V 2.03 update, my regret in buying my 4th X-Series camera continues.
Fuji has not given us back the peak focus highlights as it existed for years.
Using manual focus, and highlights, compose and focus - then half press the shutter. It should clear the screen and give you a clean preview. Nope. Not on an X-T5. On my X-T3? Sure. As always.
Now change focus aids to split or prism, compose and focus. Now half press, and the screen is cleared.
This is not a bug. This is intentional of the part of Fuji - the X-T5 simply is not a camera that is meant for manual shooters. Are they now a lens company that sells compatible cameras? It simply is not an upgrade from X-T3 and T4 - it is a new X-Series, Auto Focus centric camera.
I sorely regret the purchase. More and more I think of selling my fuji gear and looking else.
Sorry for the RANT Pal.
The rest of the FW upgrade is meaningless to me.
If you know of any way of restoring it, I'm all ears.

Hi I got question. Is it possible to see the number of the custom WB whit the Xt-3. Like I do the WB it's ok, but I can't see if is 4300K or 3500K etc... When you work in video whit some lightning is frustrating. My sony a6500 (that I sell for past to fujifilm) show me that information, but not my fuji... So it is possible to have this information?
