Today I’m going to share the best remedies for acne. When a person has acne, multiple things are happening at once. The oil glands are called sebaceous glands—they make oil or sebum. Usually, the sebaceous glands are inflamed, enlarged, and producing too much oil. Typically, bacteria are also involved, affecting the immune system and creating more inflammation. One of the biggest causes of acne is a shift in hormones. But, a high-carb diet and frequent eating can also cause acne. It’s essential to get on a low-carb diet and do intermittent fasting to help get rid of acne fast. Another one of the top acne causes is a deficiency in vitamin D. Vitamin D can regulate bacteria involved in acne—it’s a potent antibacterial. If you're deficient in vitamin D, you won’t be able to control acne-causing microbes. Vitamin D also supports the sebaceous glands to help reduce swelling of the glands and oil production. The best natural remedies for acne: 1. Take vitamin D3 (20,000 IU) 2. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet 3. Do intermittent fasting 4. Stop scrubbing your skin 5. Consume cod liver oil 6. Consume fatty fish Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Glycation is one of the top causes of cataracts. Glycation is a term to describe the combining of sugar with protein or sugar with fat. The more glycation occurs in a person’s lenses, the more eye problems they could experience. Glycation could be why people with diabetes have a higher risk of cataracts and another reason why a low-sugar, low-carb diet is so important. Are you salt-sensitive? Learn more about salt sensitivity and the dangers of too much sodium. DATA: 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: The dangers of too much sodium 0:18 Is sodium bad for you? 0:43 Understanding sodium and potassium 2:26 How to handle salt sensitivity 3:58 Learn more about potassium-rich foods! Let's talk about salt sensitivity and the dangers of consuming too much salt. Consuming too much sodium can lead to certain health problems, including: • Heart disease • High blood pressure • Stroke • Edema • Increased mortality The body tends to hold sodium when a person has a potassium deficiency. You can even have salt sensitivity, which causes you to retain sodium and water. But, again, this could be caused by a potassium deficiency. Sodium and potassium work together in the body. The daily requirements for sodium are 2300 mg, but the daily requirements for potassium are 4700 mg. You really need twice as much potassium as sodium. Many people aren't consuming enough potassium in their diet but consume a lot of sodium. A genetic problem can also cause some people to be salt sensitive. I believe one of the best things you can do for salt sensitivity is to increase your potassium. I don't think a low-salt diet is the answer. You don't want to end up having a potassium deficiency and a sodium deficiency. You need sodium and potassium to support the body in many different ways. If you're deficient in these key electrolytes, you could experience arrhythmias, fatigue, and weakness. Overall, you need sodium, but you need a lot more potassium. Let’s talk about colon polyps and colon cancer. Many people think they will get colon cancer if they have a polyp, but that’s not true. The most common type of polyp is a tubular adenoma, and the majority of the time, it’s benign, meaning it’s not cancerous. While polyps can become cancerous, many types of colon polyps have a very low risk of turning into cancer. Cancer is the dysfunction of the mitochondria inside of your cells. Cancer cells can live forever and keep reproducing. Another unique thing about cancer cells is that they love sugar. This is one reason why a low-carb diet is so important. The main triggers of colon polyps and colon cancer are diet-related. Foods that cause inflammation are especially harmful because cancer spreads into areas of inflammation. However, other things can trigger colon polyps and colon cancer, such as: • Certain viruses • H. pylori • Smoking • Air pollution • Alcohol • Obesity • Stress • Environmental toxins • Dysbiosis (an altered microbiome) • Charred meat and meat combined with sugar • Certain genetic factors Ways to support your body and help protect against colon polyps and colon cancer: 1. Consume cruciferous vegetables, cruciferous microgreens, or cruciferous sprouts 2. Do fasting 3. Exercise 4. Take probiotics and consume probiotic foods 5. Take vitamin D 6. Consume garlic 7. Let's talk about sulforaphane. There are a lot of interesting health benefits of sulforaphane. Sulforaphane is a phytonutrient that has been studied extensively. You can get sulforaphane from many different plants, but the best source of sulforaphane is broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens. Broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens have 10 to 100 times more sulforaphane than broccoli. The majority of nutrients in plants, especially phytonutrients, are in the early stages of growth. Sprouts and microgreens also have much fewer anti-nutrients, which can irritate the gut. Sprouts and microgreens are incredibly nutritious and are great choices if you have a hard time consuming large amounts of vegetables. You can consume fewer of them to get a good amount of nutrients and phytonutrients. Potential benefits of microgreens and sprouts (sulforaphane): 1. May help prevent chronic disease 2. Has potent anti-inflammatory effects 3. May have anticancer effects 4. May help inhibit carcinogens 5. Has potent antimicrobial effects 6. Has powerful blood sugar effects 7. Blood pressure problems are very common. Today, we’re going to talk about blood pressure and the best natural hypertension remedies. The problems with high blood pressure can extend way beyond the heart. High blood pressure can affect the brain, eyes, and kidneys. High blood pressure can also increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. In my opinion, two common causes of high blood pressure are low magnesium and low vitamin D. But hypertension could also be the result of another health issue, like hypoxia. The typical treatment for hypertension involves lowering sodium intake or taking a diuretic. But, diuretics deplete potassium and magnesium, which could both be potential causes of high blood pressure in the first place. Calcium channel blockers and ace inhibitors are also used to treat high blood pressure, but those come with serious potential side effects. A research study also found that taking aspirin every day may not have any benefits. Nitric oxide, on the other hand, supports the inner layer of the arteries and may help lower blood pressure. A certain enzyme in the body helps make nitric oxide. But, this enzyme can be inhibited if you have a specific genetic variation. One of the best natural remedies for hypertension is L-arginine. L-arginine supports the production of nitric oxide in the body. Other great natural remedies for high blood pressure are foods like garlic and celery, which you can easily include in your diet. You may also want to take tocotrienols to support the arteries and make sure you’re getting plenty of potassium, magnesium, and vitamin D3. Changing your diet is another crucial part of dealing with high blood pressure. Discover the best diet for hypertension in my next video. Let’s talk about the best meal you could eat to clean your arteries and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. The plaque that can build up in the arteries is a combination of calcium, protein, and cholesterol. In many cases, the calcium results from biofilms, which are colonies of microbes with something like a shell to protect themselves. Biofilms tend to accumulate on roughened edges—if the arteries are smooth and strong, they probably won’t accumulate there. Lesions, oxidation, inflammation, or damage could lead to plaque in the arteries. Typically, a person with clogged arteries will also have high LDL cholesterol (small-dense particle size LDL). Both arterial plaque and this type of LDL are correlated with a high-carb, high-sugar diet. The best nutrients to support the cardiovascular system and reduce the risk of heart disease: 1. Vitamin K2 2. Vitamin C 3. Vitamin E 4. Omega-3 fatty acids The best meal for your cardiovascular system: • Wild-caught salmon • Sauerkraut • A large arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese, and garlic. 3. The ONLY Sugar That Won't Raise Your Blood Sugar

This is the only sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar levels. But is it healthy? Learn more! DATA: 🤍 0:00 Introduction: What is the best type of sugar? 0:10 Sugar explained 1:45 Is fructose bad? 4:02 Is fructose keto-friendly? 5:00 The problem with fructose 6:00 Learn more about alternative sugars! Today, we’re going to talk about the only type of sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar: fructose. Fructose doesn’t increase your blood sugar levels, at least initially. Fructose is often recommended to diabetics because it doesn’t increase blood sugar levels, but there is another side of this that’s important to look at. Fructose follows a different biochemical pathway than glucose. Glucose is absorbed by all of the cells, but fructose is only absorbed by the liver. What’s not absorbed can end up in the colon, where your microbes consume it, which can lead to digestive problems. Fructose absorbed in the liver can be converted to glucose and stored as glycogen. When glycogen is stored in the liver, the body will start making triglycerides and cholesterol. Fructose can potentially lead to a fatty liver very quickly, which can then lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Even though fructose is low on the glycemic index and won’t directly raise your blood sugar, it can indirectly raise your blood sugar and lead to various health problems. Find out exactly what Dr. Berg eats from day to day!  US Wellness Meats: 🤍 Summer Sausage: 🤍 Primal Kitchen: 🤍 Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter: 🤍 Peanut Butter and Celery: 🤍 Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate: 🤍 Timestamps 0:00 Healthy Keto  0:43 How many times Dr. Berg eats a day  1:19 Keto vs. Healthy Keto  1:47 What does Dr. Berg eat? 8:55 Bulletproof your immune system *free course!  In this video, I'm going to go through what I typically eat on a given day. It's really nothing too exciting because unlike many people I can eat the same thing every single day. Other people need variety, and that's fine. This is just what I eat, but you can eat whatever you want as long as it's keto-friendly.  Currently, I eat one and a half meals per day. I would normally eat one meal a day, but when if I do that, I tend to lose too much weight. I also have a more difficult time fitting all of the calories I need into one meal.  I have my first meal between 1-2 pm. I have my second meal between 5-6 pm. This gives me a fasting range between 19-21 hours.  Keto vs. Healthy keto: Keto —  A low-carb diet that doesn't focus on nutrition. There are benefits when you lower your carbs.  Healthy Keto —  A low-carb diet that factors in nutrient-dense foods. I think a Healthy Keto diet with intermittent fasting is the best way to go.  What Dr. Berg eats: First meal — Mostly a combination of protein and fat with some vegetables (not too much)  A few different combinations I like: • 4 eggs with onions and fermented vegetables (without sugar) or raw asparagus  • Grass-fed, grass-finished, fatty hamburger (.5Ib) and sauerkraut  • Organic summer sausage (8 oz.) with organic grass-fed Swiss cheese  • Salmon (8 oz.) fried with olive oil, topped with sea salt, black pepper, and mayo (Primal Kitchen) with olives on the side  • A handful of pecans after the meal (if unsatisfied)  • Celery and organic valencia salted peanut butter after the meal (if unsatisfied) • Sugar-free chocolate occasionally after the meal (if unsatisfied) Second meal — Primarily vegetables with a small amount of protein and fat. A few different combinations I like: • 8 cups of salad (arugula or greens mix from the farmer's market, olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, sea salt, and avocado or nuts) • 3 1/2 cups of chopped white and red cabbage and carrots, topped with mayo (Primal Kitchen) • 4 cups steamed cauliflower with butter, sea salt, and black pepper Things I may add to my second meal: • 1/2 can cod liver • Summer sausage (4 oz.) • Pecans  • Celery and organic valencia salted peanut butter I fry my eggs in beef tallow, and I try to get my greens from the farmer's market. If I buy greens from the store, they have to be organic. I also consume a lot of organic tomatoes from the farmer's market or my garden when they're in season.  FREE COURSE➜ ➜ 🤍 Talk to a Product Advisor to find the best product for you! Nutmeg If you use nutmeg, use it sparingly. 3. Green raw almonds and raw cashews Instead of buying bitter almonds, buy sweet almonds or roasted almonds. 4. Undercooked red kidney beans Soak them for at least 5 hours, then boil them. Don’t slow cook them. 5. Brown rice Don’t consume brown rice at all. 6. Uncooked bloody hamburger Make sure you consume high-quality beef. Also, make sure it’s cooked to the point where there is no potential for E.coli. 7. Cherry pits Don’t eat cherries. KEFIR WEBSITE HERE: 🤍 Find out how this simple remedy can help you sleep better. DATA: 🤍 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: The best natural remedy for sleep 0:20 What is kefir? 1:27 Kefir benefits 1:45 Kefir for better sleep 3:55 The best type of kefir to consume 4:30 How to make kefir 5:40 Check out my video on other things that help promote sleep! Sleep is so important, and I believe this remedy will help you get the sleep you need. The best natural remedy for sleep is kefir. Consume 1/2 cup of kefir before bed for better sleep. Kefir is similar to yogurt, but it’s better. It has more healthy, diverse microbes than yogurt. Many of these friendly microbes also survive your stomach acids, whereas the microbes in yogurt don’t. Kefir not only has friendly bacteria but friendly yeast, too. This combination is essential. People with lactose intolerance also have an easier time digesting kefir than yogurt. Health benefits of kefir: • Decreased liver fat • Fewer allergy symptoms • Improved immune system • Decreased inflammation • Less constipation • Better blood sugar • Better blood pressure • Decreased pathogens Certain microbes make serotonin. The more of the right microbes you have, the more serotonin you’ll have. Serotonin is a hormone that can positively affect your mood and reduce stress. Kefir provides microbes that make melatonin, which is a sleep hormone. Not only that, but kefir contains microbes that make the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan turns into serotonin and then melatonin. Kefir is a good source of bioavailable calcium, which can help you get to sleep and stay asleep. The microbes in kefir also make certain B vitamins, which can greatly help with stress and calm a busy mind. The lactobacillus in kefir helps reduce cortisol, which will also help you sleep better. I highly recommend making your own kefir. You need something called kefir live grains (there is no grain in it) to get started. I like using goat milk, but you can use cow milk. The website I use to buy my kefir grains (happyherbalist.com) explains exactly how to make kefir. Basically, you add 1 Tbsp of the kefir grains to 1 to 2 cups of milk. Then, you set it on the counter and cover it using a cloth or paper towel and a rubber band. After 24 hours, you’ll have kefir. I'm going to explain how to look younger and why these tips really work. When it comes to looking younger, we're really dealing with the accumulation of damaged proteins. The more damaged proteins you have, internally and externally, the older you'll look. Damaged proteins can cause a lot of problems throughout the body and can also make you look old. A big cause of damaged proteins is AGEs (advanced glycation end products). To get rid of AGEs, you need to get your body into a condition called autophagy. Autophagy recycles old damaged proteins to make new ones. This is essential to help you look younger. The best way to get into autophagy is by doing intermittent fasting. If you're already doing intermittent fasting, you can also try OMAD (one meal a day). If you're experienced with OMAD, you could try dry OMAD. Additional ways to look younger: • Get plenty of sun or infrared light • Support your liver • Support bile production • Consume enough fat in your diet • Consume plenty of vegetables and have them with fat (like olive oil) • Support your antioxidant networks (by doing exercise and fasting) • Don't consume sugar or refined carbs • Stop smoking • Work hard to counter stress • Make sure you consume a moderate amount of high-quality protein • Support your microbiome Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Learn more about the best foods for autoimmune conditions and what you should avoid if you have an autoimmune disease. DATA: 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: What to do for autoimmune disorders 0:45 Understanding autoimmune conditions and the immune system 5:35 The best foods for autoimmune conditions 14:58 The best nutrients for autoimmune conditions 15:28 Learn more about the digestive system! Today I’m going to share some really important information for people with autoimmune or inflammatory disorders. An autoimmune disorder can occur when your immune system starts attacking healthy cells, and it can lead to a lot of damage and inflammation. Many autoimmune disorders start in the gut. Your body has protective mechanisms to keep pathogens from invading the gut. But, pathogens may be allowed to pass through the intestinal barrier if you have intestinal permeability, also known as leaky gut. This can lead to someone developing an autoimmune disease. There is a certain protein called zonulin that regulates intestinal permeability, and it’s typically elevated in autoimmune diseases or inflammatory diseases. To find the best foods for autoimmune diseases, we need to look for foods that strengthen the intestinal barrier and keep zonulin in check. The number one thing that helps regulate zonulin is your own microbiome—it's crucial to support your microbiome. The best foods for autoimmune disorders: 1. Probiotic foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, or a probiotic supplement) 2. Fermented vegetables 3. Foods high in sulforaphane (broccoli sprouts or a sulforaphane supplement) 4. Foods high in glutamine (red cabbage, grass-fed beef, eggs, fish) 5. Foods high in omega-3 fats (cod liver oil, salmon, sardines) The most important nutrients for autoimmune conditions: 1. Zinc 2. Vitamin D 3. Learn more about an interesting hidden cause of H. pylori and discover the best natural alternatives to get rid of H. pylori. DATA: 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: What causes anemia? 0:10 H. pylori explained 3:28 The treatment for H. pylori 4:52 Potential remedies for H. pylori 7:35 Learn more about the causes of anemia! Did you know H. pylori is behind some cases of anemia? H. pylori is a type of bacteria that most of the population already has. When the timing and environment are just right, H. pylori can come out of remission and create all sorts of problems. H. pylori primarily causes issues like gastritis, ulcers, and stomach atrophy. It typically comes out of remission when the stomach loses acidity. Some people are also more susceptible to getting an H. pylori infection. H. pylori bacteria also have unique survival mechanisms that help them thrive. One of these mechanisms leads to iron and B12 deficiencies. If you’re taking vitamin B12 and iron for anemia and it’s not helping, it could be because the real problem is in the stomach. The typical treatment for H. pylori is months of antibiotics. But, if you develop antibiotic resistance to H. pylori, they won’t work anymore. Antibiotics can also have side effects. We need to look at alternatives to get rid of H. pylori naturally. The best natural alternatives: 1. Take natural antibiotics (sulforaphane and wormwood extract) 2. Support your stomach by taking zinc 3. Take betaine hydrochloride or apple cider vinegar (if gastritis, inflammation, and ulcers are non-existent) 4. Take a probiotic or consume probiotic foods (sauerkraut and pickles) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Find out how to get rid of skin tags fast using a simple two-ingredient remedy. DATA: 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: Get rid of skin tags fast 1:00 What are skin tags? 3:28 What causes skin tags? 5:13 The best remedy for skin tags and warts 8:03 Other remedies for skin tags and warts 8:53 Learn more about the underlying cause of skin tags and warts! Let’s talk about how to get rid of skin tags and warts fast. Skin tags and warts are indicators of something deeper going on. Skin tags are the result of an anabolic response—they are a growth of cells, like mini benign tumors. There is a high association between skin tags and warts and HPV. Skin tags are more common in women and in people who have diabetes, PCOS, or who are overweight. Insulin resistance is related to diabetes, obesity, and PCOS. One study demonstrated a strong association between skin tags and insulin resistance. To get to the root problem of skin tags and to make sure they don’t come back after you get rid of them, you need to take steps to improve your insulin resistance and, potentially, estrogen dominance. This means getting on the Healthy Keto diet and doing intermittent fasting. The best natural remedy for skin tags and warts: • Mix two drops of povidone-iodine with a couple of drops of garlic juice. If you don't want to use garlic, you could try using zinc oxide, oregano oil, or apple cider vinegar. • Using a cotton swab, put the mixture directly on the skin tag or wart, and then put a bandaid or tape over it. • Keep the mixture in the refrigerator to keep it fresh, and apply the remedy twice a day for up to two weeks. Make a new, fresh mixture each day. If you don’t see any changes, try using one of these remedies topically and cover it with a bandaid or tape: • Salicylic acid • A crushed aspirin in water • Celandine Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Many people face stress daily, and it's not healthy. Find out how how to deal with stress and lower cortisol naturally. Chronic stress can affect every system in the body. Let's talk about how to lower cortisol and relieve stress. We've been told that our environment is dangerous, which causes a lot of stress and anxiety. But, while our environment may be dangerous, it's not as dangerous as many are led to believe—and it's not healthy to keep your attention on this negativity. It's vital to change your viewpoint on your environment and see it in a positive light, as well as filter out some of the negativity you're exposed to.  Chronic stress can potentially lead to various health issues, including:  • A weak microbiome and more pathogenic bacteria • A poor immune system  • Inflammation  • Fertility problems  • High insulin levels • High triglycerides and LDL and low HDL • Poor detoxification  • Slow digestion  • Poor absorption of vitamins and minerals (including vitamin D) • Tightened fascia  • Cognitive problems  • The activation of bad genes and suppression of good genes  Two of the best ways to deal with stress and cortisol: 1. Change the viewpoint of your environment and filter out various threats of danger • Get space in nature • Connect with your environment  2. Physically flush out accumulated adrenaline and cortisol  • Exercise  • Do physical work  Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Check out the best foods for lower abdominal pain or cramping and learn more about what causes it. 0:00 Introduction: What to do for lower abdominal pain 0:13 Typical treatment for lower abdominal pain 1:10 Lower abdominal pain causes 5:15 The best foods for lower abdominal pain relief 7:45 The best vegetable for digestive problems 8:52 Learn more about how to support digestion! Today we're going to talk about the best and worst foods for lower abdominal pain. There are many different causes of lower abdominal cramping or pain. But, in my opinion, we can usually trace the problem back to the person's diet and malabsorption. If a person has a problem with malabsorption, they may also experience bloating, diarrhea, or loose stool. The more inflammation or gut problems you have, the more sensitive you're going to be to certain things like gluten, lactose, fruit, grains, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds. A good thing to consume would be a stew with homemade bone broth. The collagen in the stew is great for inflammation in the gut. Adding vegetables to the stew is also fantastic because they will cook down to the point where they shouldn't bother your digestive system. High-quality saturated animal fats are important to help support the gut. This means the meat you add to your stew should have skin on it and should be fatty. Lactose-free whole-milk kefir or lactose-free goat milk kefir is also great to help support healthy digestion. To support the colon, you may want to consume probiotic foods. Ghee and fermented vegetables may also be beneficial. The best vegetable for digestive issues is cabbage. This may be because it contains sulforaphane or certain phytonutrients. Even people who have digestive problems like gastritis or irritable bowel syndrome may find it easier to consume cabbage. It’s time to stop skipping breakfast! Learn about the 7 benefits of early eating. DATA: 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: Should you eat breakfast? 1:10 Dietary variables to consider 2:12 What is early time-restricted eating? 2:49 Seven benefits of early time-restricted eating 4:48 Cortisol and your appetite 5:56 Watch my new video about a spice that can lower your blood sugar! In this video, we’re going to talk about early time-restricted eating. In my first book, I recommended that everyone should eat breakfast. In my second book, I removed that recommendation. After reviewing the research, I tried early time-restricted eating and I’m very impressed with the benefits. Early eating aligns with your circadian rhythm, so it can be beneficial to avoid eating after 3:00p.m. Here are 7 benefits of early time-restricted eating: 1. Better HOMA-IR (insulin sensitivity) 2. Better blood sugars 3. Better B-cell response 4. Lower appetite in the evening 5. Better insulin levels after eating 6. Autophagy 7. Food genes downgraded in the evening Biochemical pathways that are associated with eating and food are normally downgraded in the evening. Eating reactivates those food genes, which is why I'm experimenting with my eating pattern. I’m still fasting for 20 hours each day, I've just shifted my eating pattern from 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m! Cortisol spikes in the morning, causing you to become hungry. You don’t have a cortisol spike in the evening, so you’ll spend the rest of the day satisfied and simply not hungry. This leads to better digestion, better blood sugar, and better sleep. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Does your diet include these incredible foods that help you lose belly fat? Check this out! Potassium lowers insulin: ▶️ 🤍 ▶️ 🤍 ▶️ 🤍 DATA: 🤍 🤍 0:00 Introduction: How to lose belly fat 0:10 What is belly fat? 0:40 Cortisol and belly fat 1:30 Causes of belly fat 2:55 Ten foods that help you lose belly fat 10:45 Check out my video on which foods to avoid to lose belly fat! Today I'm going to cover the top 10 foods that help you lose belly fat. Cortisol is a stress hormone that turns protein into sugar. It causes your liver to make new sugar out of non-carbohydrate sources, such as fat, ketones and protein. If your cortisol is really high, your body will make a lot of sugar. This increase in sugar will elevate insulin, and insulin makes belly fat. Consuming a high-carb diet and sugar, or eating too frequently can also cause your insulin to spike, leading to belly fat. You'll typically notice belly fat after the liver is already fatty because a lot of the visceral fat around the organs comes from a spill-off of fat from the liver. So, the best foods to help you lose belly fat address lowering insulin, lowering cortisol or supporting the liver. Ten foods that help you lose belly fat: 1. Eggs 2. Salmon 3. Cod liver and cod liver oil 4. Sauerkraut 5. Cruciferous vegetables 6. Hamburger 7. Avocados 8. Broccoli sprouts 9. Asparagus 10. If you or a loved one is trying to improve Alzheimer’s disease symptoms, it's crucial that you avoid this food—do you know what it is? 0:00 Introduction: Improving Alzheimer’s symptoms 0:15 What is Alzheimer’s disease? 0:45 Insulin and Alzheimer’s disease 4:42 Fix insulin resistance and improve cognitive function 8:42 Learn more about what to eat to support a healthy body! In my opinion, what you eat is the most important thing that influences dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. There is one food I believe you have to avoid if you’re trying to improve symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, and that is refined carbohydrates. Surprisingly, insulin is actually neuroprotective, and carbs increase insulin. If you’re deficient in insulin, your risk for amyloid plaquing goes up. But this doesn’t mean you should consume more carbs. A high-carb diet is associated with high blood sugar, and people with high blood sugar or diabetes have an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease. When your insulin is too high, your body starts protecting itself against excess insulin, leading to insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is a deficiency of insulin inside the cells. It's important to have just the right amount of insulin. Refined carbs and sugar can also create brain inflammation. Not only that but sugar and refined carbs can destroy the energy sources for neurons and create oxidation and free-radical damage while also decreasing antioxidants. This is why it’s key to fix insulin resistance. If you fix insulin resistance, the neurons can get the level of insulin they need for neuroprotection and to help decrease inflammation. How to support healthy insulin levels: 1. Get on the keto diet (run your body on ketones) 2. Do intermittent fasting 3. Do OMAD 4. Consume nutrient-dense foods 5. Decrease stress Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Ready to start keto? Here’s how to do keto the healthy way! In this video, we’re going to talk about how to start keto correctly. Keto-Friendly Recipe Ideas: 🤍 🤍 Keto for Beginners: 🤍 Intermittent Fasting Basics: 🤍 Timestamps 0:00 How to start keto correctly 0:12 Keto basics 3:56 How much protein on keto? 5:50 How much fat on keto? 8:11 Adding intermittent fasting 12:14 Need keto consulting? First, let’s talk about what keto is. The ketogenic diet puts you into a state called ketosis. Ketosis is when your body switches from using sugar as fuel to using ketones as fuel. To do this, you have to lower your intake of carbs and sugars. This includes grains, starches, sugary drinks, bread, pasta, candy, and fruits (except some berries). You also want to limit how often you eat. Every time you eat, you trigger insulin. Insulin stops fat burning and triggers fat storage. Our goal is to lower your insulin levels. The best way to stop triggering insulin spikes is to eat less frequently. This doesn’t mean you have to eat less food (or lower your calories)—it just means no snacking in between meals and only consuming food 1-2 times a day. On the healthy keto diet, there is one exception to the no-carb rule. You can have as many low-carb vegetables as you want—just avoid starchy vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn. You want to have 7-10 cups of vegetables every day. After lowering your carbohydrates, you want to consume a moderate amount of protein. 3-8 oz of protein per meal. You should always consume meats with fat on them. Never go for lean or low-fat options. You can consume meat, fish, chicken, seafood, eggs (with the yolk), cheese, and nuts. Once you’ve dialed in your protein, you want to focus on consuming healthy fats. Fats will help you stay full and satisfied. Healthy fats include avocado, butter, olive oil, coconut oil, and animal fats. Avoid soy oil, corn oil, and canola oil. Once you’ve got the hang of keto, you should add in intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting is simply cutting back on your meals and allowing your body more time to recover from insulin. Here are three tips for intermittent fasting: 1. Only eat when you’re hungry 2. Skip breakfast 3. Stop snacking FREE COURSE➜ ➜ 🤍 Talk to a Product Advisor to find the best product for you! Call 1-540-299-1556 with your questions about Dr. Berg's products. The more you control these factors, the more you can control your ability to burn fat, your metabolism, your quality of life, and your level of health. How to speed up fat burning: 1. Exercise • Do HIIT only once or twice per week with plenty of recovery. 2. Take apple cider vinegar before bed • Mix 4-6 oz. of water with 1 tbsp. ACV and drink this about an hour before bed. 3. Today I’m going to cover natural remedies for hemorrhoids. Top symptoms of hemorrhoids: • Pain • Anal leakage • Itchiness • Mucus • Bleeding • Protrusion It's believed that the top causes of hemorrhoids are constipation or a lack of fiber in the diet. But, there is no proof that these issues really cause hemorrhoids. In fact, on the opposite spectrum, diarrhea increases the risk of hemorrhoids. Pregnancy is also associated with an increased risk of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are dilated veins, similar to varicose veins. Excess estrogen can create vasodilation of the veins, which is why varicose veins are also common in pregnant women. This means that part of our solution needs to address excess estrogen. Thankfully, we can look to certain foods as potential remedies for hemorrhoids. Lemons and limes contain beneficial flavonoids that make them two of the best foods for hemorrhoids. Cruciferous vegetables can help balance estrogen while providing phytonutrients to support the body from different angles. Another great alternative remedy for hemorrhoids is stone root, also known as collinsonia root. Here’s how to make the #1 best remedy for hemorrhoids. Ingredients: • 1/2 cup of water • 1 whole lemon • 1/2 cup of cruciferous sprouts Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 30 to 40 seconds. Drink this mixture three times per day for severe hemorrhoids and three times per week once the hemorrhoids are under control. Then, continue to have this drink at least once per week for maintenance. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. You could use either gelatin, unflavored and unsweetened Jell-O, or hydrolyzed collagen.  How gelatin can potentially help increase hair growth:  • It’s 99% protein  • It has amino acids and peptides  • It increases blood flow and blood volume  In a few interesting studies, they saw a 50% increase in hair growth, a substantial increase in the diameter of the hair, and an increase in the number of hairs.  Gelatin may help provide the raw material needed and boost blood flow to add some additional help when it comes to hair growth—even if there is an autoimmune component or genetic weakness.  You may want to try 10 to 14 grams (1 Tbsp) of gelatin powder per day with L-cysteine or NAC and saw palmetto.  Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Do Dr. Eric Berg's ideas on cholesterol, diet and health match the science? Dr. Eric Berg goes over his wife's cholesterol values. Here's a look at Dr. Eric Berg's views on cholesterol and heart disease. We got a ton requests from you to comment on dr. eric berg going over his wife’s blood work. Total cholesterol=not the best marker, but it associates with cardiovascular disease, with heart disease. 2018 American Heart Association Guidelines: “optimal total cholesterol=about 150. populations with cholesterol in this range manifest low rates of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease" scientific advisory on dietary cholesterol: ‘no significant association with cardiovascular disease risk’. this is the science advisory on dietary cholesterol dietary cholesterol= cholesterol in your food. Serum cholesterol=level in the blood, in our blood work. He’s talking about serum cholesterol, total cholesterol= total cholesterol in your blood. but the link is on dietary cholesterol total cholesterol associates with cardiovascular disease risk but there are better markers. LDL-cholesterol is better. nonHDL-cholesterol is even better. apoB is the best. Dietary cholesterol associates with cardiovascular disease in some studies, not others Lipids travel in lipoproteins. cardiovascular disease (CVD) is about lipoproteins, but most public discourse focuses on lipids, the cholesterol, good/bad cholesterol, but its high lipoproteins that raise risk lipoproteins=vehicle, cholesterol=passenger. apob=best metric. apoB measures vehicles. lipids, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol etc measure passengers sdLDL = harmful, large LDL = fine? high cholesterol ok as long as particles are large?? if 2 populations have same cholesterol, those with smaller particles tend to have higher risk. but for the same cholesterol People with smaller lipoproteins have more of them Particle size could be the cause of risk or an innocent bystander at a given level of LDL cholesterol, individuals with small LDL particles have higher risk. but at same LDL-cholesterol, the ones with smaller particles also have more particles it is the number of LDL particles, not LDL size or the amount of cholesterol, that is the principal determinant of heart disease risk association of LDL size with risk loses significance when adjusted for particle number, Apo B apob measures particle number. particle size correlates with risk but after you remove apob, or particle number from the equation, particle size no longer predicts risk 1) statins, lower risk yet reduce large LDL 2) patients with familial hypercholesterolemia have mainly large LDLs, and are at high risk, indicating large LDLs are not benign All ApoB lipoproteins under 70 nm in diameter, including VLDL remnants and LDLs, flux across endothelial barrier all ApoB-containing lipoproteins, including VLDLs and their remnants as well as LDLs, have approximately the same effect on risk of cardiovascular disease per particle the decrease in risk per VLDL decrease was the same as the decrease in risk per LDL decrease. Thus VLDL and LDL pose equal cardiovascular risk LDL subclass measurement does not add independent info to LDL concentration (number of particles, apoB) along with standard risk factors (diabetes, smoking, BP, family history) don’t know your apoB? LDL-c and HDL-c are rough estimates but they can be off. when in doubt get ur apoB ‘sdLDL is a marker of inflammation’. sdLDLs are markers diabetes, IR, obesity. they associate well with heart disease because they’re a marker for many issues Replacing refined carbs (table sugar, candy, white bread, cookies, pizza etc) with unrefined carbohydrate from whole grains or unsaturated fats associated with lower CV risk Connect with me: Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 Animations: Even Topland 🤍toplandmedia References: Dr. Berg's original video: 🤍 AHA Guidelines: 🤍 other refs: 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 Disclaimer: The contents of this video are for informational purposes only and are not intended to be medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor to replace medical care. Hydration is not just about drinking more water. Find out more. Check out Dr. Berg Electrolyte Powder here: 🛒🤍 OR 🤍 0:00 Introduction: The average amount of liquid consumed by Americans 1:10 What happens when you drink the wrong thing 2:25 The #1 mistake people make when drinking water 3:30 Electrolyte ratios 4:13 Should you only drink when you’re thirsty? 6:47 How much fluid do you need? 7:35 How to stay hydrated 8:15 Learn more about water! Are you drinking too much? Are you drinking too little? Today, we’re going to talk about fluids on keto and the biggest mistake people make when drinking water. The average American consumes 4.3 cups of water. This is extremely low. Many people also drink other types of liquids, but many of these can damage your health. Drinks with caffeine, sugar, and alcohol will actually worsen dehydration. The biggest mistake people make when it comes to fluids is thinking they are hydrated just because they are drinking a lot of liquids. There has been a big push to get people to drink more without fixing the root cause of their dehydration—and this is another big mistake. We have to consider the big picture, which includes electrolytes. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium are essential for hydration. But you have to have them in the correct amounts to be effective. The average person who exercises will need two to three liters of water per day. But, to stay hydrated, you need to add sea salt and other electrolytes to your water. You could also add lemon or apple cider vinegar to your water for additional benefits.
